Laura Bailie
Occupational Therapist
Laura holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Occupational Therapy.
Laura has been trained to administer interventions that develop a person’s interoceptive awareness, understand their sensory processing needs, alongside providing therapy intervention that is trauma informed and uses a coach approach communication style.
Laura has experience working with participants to develop their skills in areas such as social participation, emotional regulation, independence with daily tasks, increasing their community connections and fine and gross motor skills.
Laura is a passionate and enjoys working with children through to early adults, developing their life skills to support their self-identified goals. She has a particular interest in social skill development, emotional awareness and regulation and building community connections.
Laura enjoys working in participant’s natural environments and adapts her therapy to be client-centred around their interests. She focuses on working collaboratively with all supports to provide consistency across all environments.
